    1. Let's add the National association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA); the National Indian Child Care Association (NICCA); the National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC); the California Child Care Resource and Referral Network; MenTeach.org; and ChildCareExchange. I'm sure others will have suggestions as well.

    2. It is vital that we ALL join a professional association during these tough budget times. It was important for me to note that during these tough economic times, DEC, like NAEYC, has suffered a drop in membership. I think that we must all have the courage to stand up during times such as this and take on a leadership role by actively participating in some sort of ECE membership organization.
Now more than ever, courage is required if we are to gain the respect and earn the leadership role which we seek.
I was glad to learn about DEC, and will consider it as an organization to become a part of.

    3. I have heard of "One Mind at a Time" by Mel Levine, but I have not heard of "Taking Sides". What is it about and what would make it a great resource for me as a young teacher?

    4. Hi Amanda, Taking Sides is a book design to introduce educators to controversies in education. Educators can analyze opposing viewpoints on different topics. For example, "Should the Curriculum Be Standardized for All?" This is a good topic teachers can read the pros and cons of the topic.

    5. Hi Andrea, I am going to read both books because they seem like they're very interesting. I like the website HTTP://nieer.org
I've learned a lot about the organization NIEER

    6. World Forum on Early Care and Education is exciting because it surpasses local and national forums. It represents the fact that early childhood education is being researched and promoted worldwide. Thanks for sharing.
